What if termites are found?
It is not unusual to detect activities during an inspection, as that is the essence of the inspection. When we detect their presence, we will immediately spray them with termiticide.
Pro Pest Control Cairns uses Termidor, and we are accredited Termidor applicators. If you spot them, don’t disturb them or try to kill them. Instead, call us.
Our Inspection technicians use Termidor to spray live termites. We also include it in our bait stations and use it for reticulation systems and barriers.
Termidor is a slow-acting termiticide that spreads by ingestion and contact. It uses a unique transfer effect to infect them. An infected termite will not die immediately after contact or ingestion.
It will carry the virus back to the nest and infect other termites by contact to make them secondary carriers. The process will continue throughout the termite colony until all of them are infected.
Termidor acts as a growth inhibitor that prevents moulting. It also weakens the mandible and prevents feeding. The termiticide will annihilate the nest in a few weeks.
